Name: Ernesto Pardo
Position: Director of Student Affairs
Graduation: Spring 2017
I am a student in Junior standing pursuing a major in the Business field who values life, mostly because of the difficult challenges I have faced. I was born in Los Angeles, California but I was raised in Oaxaca, Mexico where I lived for most of my childhood. I am proud of my “indigenous” roots and to call myself Oaxacan. I am also proud to call myself a latino, and that is why I decided to join LBSA because I believe that Latinos, as well as other minorities, are crucial to the future of the business world. In my opinion LBSA is an example of the diversity in the Business world and shows the importance of latinos and minorities in it. If there is one thing I want people to know about me, is that one of the morals that is of most importance to me is respect and I tend to be a quiet person because I believe actions speak louder than words.
Goals for LBSA
This year I am fortunate enough to be the Director of Student affairs for LBSA. One of my ultimate goals is to bring students together and have them think of each other not just as friends but as a family. As director of student affairs I hope to empower students overcome barriers no matter how big or small. I would also like to connect the board of directors with student members in order to increase the mentorship and help our members reach both their academic and non-academic goals.
